In a recent study conducted by BBC, they found that Facebook advertisements were not targeting their preferred audience and generating a substantial amount of page “likes.” The minor flaw in the study was that they were advertising a fabricated brand called “VirtualBagel.” The fan page had no payday content or service and had just a picture of a bagel. I don’t understand how they believed any type of advertisement would generate “likes” for such a page.
