Pinterest’s New and Improved Analytics

Last week, Pinterest rolled out a more in-depth analytics platform for all business accounts.

Thank you social media gods! I have always been disappointed with the insights Pinterest previously provided. They lacked valuable data such as individual pin stats as well as follower demographics. Very BLAH if you ask me.

But after playing around and getting familiar with the new Pinterest addition, I’m in love!

With the new analytics tool, businesses will now have a wide variety of important and beneficial data at their finger tips.

Here’s a quick breakdown of all the new available insights:

Follower Demographics and Interests

  • Country, City, Language spoken, and Gender
  • Top 12 follower interests
  • Audience boards that feature a large amount of your pins
  • Other business accounts your audience follows

So much new data! I feel like a kid on Christmas! (Not to totally make myself sound like a social media nerd!)

Pinterest hopes that the new insights will help brands increase engagement and reach a wider audience. In addition, social media marketers can utilize this data to develop and influence other various forms of content for additional social platforms.

It’s important to always remember that in the end, data is social media’s best friend.
